The 5 Dimensions of Teaching and Learning™ (5D™) Smart Cards are intended to help schools and districts who use the 5D+™ Rubric for Instructional Growth and Teacher Evaluation successfully implement high quality instructional practices.
The 5D™ Smart Cards reflect the comprehensive instructional framework developed by University of Washington - CEL faculty after multi-year research efforts to define the core elements of what constitutes good teaching. The 5D Smart Cards are a great tool for increasing consistency in conversations about instruction in schools and districts.
Suggested uses for the 5D Smart Cards include:
- Using the tools as the “lens” for classroom observations, posting the Smart Cards in classrooms as guides for teachers
